Vasconcellea x heilbornii is a hybrid plant from Ecuador related to papaya named babaco or champagne fruit. At approximately two feet in height, this plant will begin to produce long, slender, edible fruit. Performs outstanding in containers and will tolerate colder temperatures than traditional papayas (just above freezing).
