Rhododendron oreotrephes is an upright, floriferous rhododendron with bluish leaves that have a glaucous underside. This shrub is slow-growing and will reach five feet in ten years. Leaves are aromatic and smell of warm spices with notes of cinnamon and pine. New growth is purple. Prefers acidic soil conditions.
