Kalmia latifolia 'Peppermint' has pink buds opening to white flowers with a radiating burgundy central star.
Description:
Kalmia latifolia is a Rhododendron-like shrub with dark green, evergreen foliage and jewel-like clusters of small cupped, usually multicoloured flowers. The different colour combinations in white, pink, red, and burgundy are often bold and striking. With time, Kalmia usually develop a more open, architectural form versus the "round green blob" form of Rhodos. 'Peppermint' has pink buds opening to white flowers with a radiating burgundy central star.
