Centaurea montana ‘Jordy’ has deepest purple flowers in place of the regular royal blue sometimes looking purple-burgundy depending on the light. Bachelor's buttons are a classic cottage garden perennial with a long bloom period from spring through summer of intriguing, dissected, spidery flowers. If plants get leggy, chop them hard to the ground. They will soon reflush and begin reblooming.
