Actinidia arguta produces fragrant greenish white flowers followed by fruits with smooth skin with a taste similar to but often sweeter than the kiwis found in grocery stores of Actinidia deliciosa. 'Prolific' is a self-fertile cultivar that does not require a male pollinator though you will get double the fruit if one is present. It produces large crops of sweet, deep green fruit.
