Ornamental onions offer intriguing spherical or egg-shaped inflorescences comprised of hundreds of tiny flowers. Allium 'Windy City' is non-bulbous, clumping, summer blooming cultivar with emerald green foliage and dense, two inch wide spheres of rose purple buds opening to lavender pink flowers on 16 inch dark purple stems in early summer. Plants will often fully rebloom in late summer. Pollinator attractor. Deer and rabbit resistant.
