Dodecatheon pulchellum 'Red Wings' forms loose umbels of glowing magenta flowers with reflexed petals and white and yellow highlights around near-black stamens rising above a small clump-forming rosette of long oval leaves. Best in rich soil and part shade appreciating moisture in spring and drier soils in summer when plants go dormant. Native to western North America including BC.
