Viola blanda is a darling violet with heart shaped leaves and fragrant, pure white flowers with deep purple veins on the lower petal. The leaves persist through the season and the plants are stoloniferous creating a nice groundcover. It is native to most of Canada from Alberta to Newfoundland and much of the eastern US where it occupies rich forest floors.
