Description:
x Gordlinia grandiflora is a remarkable semi-evergreen tree with lanceolate leaves and fragrant, camellia-like flowers from July to September. It will usually acquire some orange and red fall colour. An exciting intergeneric hybrid between the deciduous Franklinia alatamaha and evergreenGordonia lasianthus best grown in acidic, organically rich, medium moisture soils in full sun to part shade. Must have good soil drainage but do not allow soils to dry out.
