Narcissus 'Telamonius Plenus' is likely of pre-1620 Dutch garden origin producing unusually variable double flowers.
Description:
Narcissus 'Telamonius Plenus' is a very unusual, very antique daffodil with doubling that can be highly variable. Opinion is divided on whether a single bulb will produce different looking flowers depending on conditions. It was illustrated in Parkinson's 1629 Paradisius as Master Wilmer's Great Double Daffodil, and probably of Dutch garden origin, going by the name 'Van Sion' in Holland. It shares with other historical daffodils an elegance and informal sensibility leading to a resurgence of interest in old cultivars.
