Dactylorhiza x foliorella

('productnameshort')

Dactylorhiza x foliorella is a famous marsh orchid with spectacular spikes of glowing magenta orchid flowers.

Description:
Dactylorhiza x foliorella is a famous marsh orchid hybrid between D. foliosa and D. purpurella. The attractive, mid green, clasping leaves produce a spectacular spike up to 32 inches tall covered in glowing magenta orchid flowers with deeper magenta markings along at least 12 inches of stalk. This hybrid is also famous for its vigour and bulks up fast in the garden. Marsh orchids grow across Europe usually in moist habitats that are either moist year round or seasonally moist in the winter becoming drier in the summer. Despite their marshy natural habitats, these hardy orchids do well in evenly moist garden soils in full to part sun and are easy to grow. Over time they will develop into impressive clumps of lance-shaped leaves with many vertical spikes of delightful orchid flowers.
