Lagerstroemia Barista 'Spiced Plum' is a dense, small shrub with red stems and semi-glossy deep greeny foliage and late season raspberry purple flowers.


Description:
Lagerstoemia Barista 'Spiced Plum, is a dense, small shrub with semi-glossy deep green foliage and late season raspberry purple flowers. the dark red stem also hold deep green leaves with heavy olive highlights. Lagerstroemia are classic shrubs and trees of the US southeast. The Barista Collection of crape myrtles are hardy cultivars to zone 6. Where they have been tested in Michigan they die back to the ground in winter and bloom on new wood in late summer. On the west coast they will not die back but they will need to be planted in a hot spot to bring them into flower.
