Phyllostachys bissetii is a vigorous species of bamboo with strongly upright culms to about 20-25 feet and a running habit. The culms are dark green and tightly spaced together producing an excellent privacy screen. It is extremely cold hardy and medium growing making it perfect for pots or the ground.
