A downright useful and unusual Japanese perennial due to the masses of squiggly bottlebrushes held on the upright stems. Sanguisorba 'Pink Elephant' produces masses of finger-like clusters or spikes on tall stems that are deep pink with light pink stamens. Flowering occurs over a long period in the summer.
