Description:
Decumaria barbara is an unusual eastern North American hydrangea relative known as woodvamp. It is a self-clinging vine similar to Hydrangea anomala and Schizophragma. It is a deciduous and can grow from 6-40 feet tall with rounded clusters of fragrant, white to off white flowers. New foliage emerges greyish green, turning to bright green, then dark green. Fall colour is yellow. A great vine or ground cover for part shade and moist soils. Blooms on new wood.
