Iris histrioides 'Frank Elder' is a very special early spring-blooming iris (February in coastal BC) similar to 'Katharine Hodgkin' with lighter palest blue flowers with sky blue veins and yellow markings and a lovely fragrance. It will light up your life in the dark days of late winter. Use at the front of the border or in rock or gravel gardens or other areas with good drainage.
