Olea europaea 'Arbequina' is one of the most popular Spanish olive varieties used for gourmet quality oil and olives. It forms attractive, small trees that are naturally compact. The flowers are self-fertile and the fruit is early-ripening and borne even on young plants. At the nursery it is the most reliable fruiting variety. It makes a good pollinator for 'Leccino'.
