Liver leaf (Hepatica acutiloba) emerges in spring from amongst the over-wintered foliage with pure white, star-like flowers with yellow-green centres resembling Anemone nemorosa. The beautiful, silver-mottled foliage is uniquely shaped with three lobes together forming a heart. Long-lived and easy to grow in pots or the shade garden.
