Dicentra canadensis is an exquisite little woodlander from eastern North America with attractive, blue-grey, ferny foliage and pink tinged white flowers like a tiny bleeding heart. It is a spring ephemeral that can form large, beautiful colonies over time that go dormant by summer - perfect for giving life to your early spring shade garden before the Hosta, ferns and other perennials get going. Squirrel corn bulbs resemble tiny kernels of corn.
