Rubus occidentalis 'Jewel' is known as the black raspberry. It is a species closely related to the normal raspberry but with shiny black fruit that look like small blackberries but still tastes like a raspberry. It is summer-bearing. Enjoy the berries fresh or use them in jams and pies.
