Description:
Rubus parviflorus, the thimbleberry or redcap, is an attractive BC native with large, light green, palmate leaves, large white flowers with yellow centres, and dome-shaped, raspberry-like fruits. The edible berries are sweet and enjoyable. They are popular with birds and other wildlife and the flowers are popular with native bees. Plants spread by underground rhizomes and care should be taken to plant where rhizomatous growth is desired or where it will be contained by hardscape features. Photo: Wikipedia.
