Hydrangea quercifolia 'Munchkin' is a compact oakleaf hydrangea that produces a profusion of creamy white, conical heads that age to light pink and red with time. The stems are strong and upright. Foliage turns mahogany in fall remaining on the plants long into the season. Plants will reach about 3-4 feet high and wide. Oakleaf hydrangea is a slow growing shrub of great beauty and one of the few hydrangeas not native to Asia in this case hailing from the southeastern US. Drought tolerant.
