'Anne Bishop' is a hardy ginger that produces large clusters of fragrant orange-yellow flowers with orange stamens in late summer or fall. Flowers will have deeper colours in more heat. Before that the subtropical foliage adds a certain exotica to the garden. Hedychium are related to the culinary ginger Zingiber officinale. Though the rhizomes look similar it's best to just eat the culinary species. Makes a good container specimen in colder climates.
