Description:
'Mikawa Yatasubusa' is an award-winning Acer palmatum for good reason. This compact Japanese maple starts out with bright chartreuse-green leaves that are dense and tightly layered or 'shingled', turning medium green in summer and yellow-gold in fall with the serrated outer edges in bright red. Extremely slow growing reaching 4 to 5 feet tall in 15 years. It makes a perfect ornamental specimen whether in a bed, container, or as a bonsai. Heat tolerant and very hardy too.
