Hydrangea quercifolia 'alice' is a large oakleaf hydrangea with white conical panicles aging to pink and superior fall foliage colour.
Description:
Oakleaf hydrangea is a slow growing shrub of great beauty and one of the few hydrangeas not native to Asia in this case hailing from the southeastern US. 'Alice' is noted for its large, arching flower panicles and disease-free foliage that offers superior fall colour in purples and reds. The cone-shaped panicles of white florets are produced in late spring and grace the plants all summer as they age to pink. Plants usually grow to 5-8 feet tall. Oakleaf hydrangea have great, long-lasting fall colour and are drought tolerant.

Native Habitat: Mixed hardwood forests, along streams and on forested hillsides, usually on calcareous soils, and often where limestone is at the ground surface. An understorey shrub, often in the shade of large oaks, hickories, magnolias, and American beech.
