Description:
Deinanthe bifida is an unusual herbaceous Japanese hydrangea relative forms clumps of beautiful textured foliage that splits into two lobes at the tip of each leaf like the tongue of an overweight snake. In early summer intriguing white flowers emerge above the foliage. Slowly spreading rhizomes eventually form a mounded three foot wide clump. A wonderful addition to the shade garden.
