Mentha requienii

('productnameshort')

Mentha requienii or Corsican mint has a delicious fragrance when caressed. It is the flavouring for creme de menthe.

Description:
Mentha requienii is a creeping and culinary mint prized for its fragrant, tiny green leaves that give off a fresh minty fragrance when caressed. In fact it smells just like creme de menthe, since it is Corsican mint that is used to flavour this liqueur! Minute lavender flowers appear in summer. Tolerates mild foot traffic. Excellent for planting between pavers or flag stones especially if coarse sand has been used to fill the gaps as it appreciates good winter drainage. Keep some potted on the patio table where it can be caressed for its fabulous foliar aroma. Possibly hardy to zone 5.
