Description:
Stachys 'Pink Cotton Candy' has very showy spikes of light and dark pink, bicoloured flowers that rise up to 24 inches. Compact, deep green, pleated foliage. Essentially a light pink version of 'Hummelo'. This species was the most important medicinal herb to the Anglo-Saxons of early medieval Great Britain. The Anglo Saxon Herbal recommends using this species to prevent bad dreams: to avoid "frightful nocturnal goblins and terrible sights and dreams." It was commonly grown in physic gardens and monasteries.
