Description:
Cyrtanthus mackenii is a beautiful, sweetly fragrant, and long-flowering South African amaryllis relative that deserves to be more commonly grown as a pot plant. The tubular pink flowers of 'Himalayan Pink' are long and narrow with recurved tips. The leaves are narrowly lance-shaped. Best in a rich but well-drained potting mix, in morning sun with afternoon shade. Water deeply when in growth. In winter keep just short of bone dry when dormant and above zero Celsius. Also available in white and red.
