Hosta plantiginea var. grandiflora has glossy, light green, beautifully ribbed leaves and spectacular, large, and extremely fragrant white flowers in summer. The foliage of plantagineas is thinner than many other hostas, so plant them in shade away from heat and drying winds to prevent leaf scorch.
