Description:
Codonopsis lanceolata is a fascinating but rarely seen northeast Asian perennial herbaceous vine from the bellflower family. It has large, nodding, creamy green bell-shaped flowers with chocolate purple and violet shading and spotting on the inside. Like Clematis, it wants its roots in the shade and top in the sun. Edible roots.
