Dodecatheon jeffreyi is a western North American native shooting star with loose umbels of pink, deep pink, or magenta reflex-petaled flowers on stiff stems above small clump-forming rosettes of long oval leaves. One of the tallest species. Best in rich soil and part shade. Goes summer dormant.
