Athyrium filix-femina var. angustum 'Lady in Red' has lacy, light green, arching fronds with red to purple-red stipes.
Description:
The eastern North American sister variety to our native lady fern, Athyrium filix-femina var. angustum, brings us 'Lady in Red', an intriguing form with lacy, light green, arching foliage held upright on red to purple-red stipes (stems). Lady fern is a deciduous, easy-to-grow fern. It adds elegant, finely textured foliage for excellent contrast with bold-leaved shade plants like Hosta, Bergenia and Rodgersia.
