Description:
Naked ladies or belladonna lily emerge in late summer and fall with leafless reddish purple stems 2-3 feet high topped with 6-12 fragrant, glowing pink, trumpet-shaped flowers up to 3-4 inches long and wide. Foliage is produced in fall, winter, or early spring going dormant by summer. Loves dry, hot summers. Amaryllis belladonna is a true Amaryllis, the others grown during the holiday season being Hippeastrum.
