'Jackmanii' has deep purple four to six inch wide flowers in profusion. It is the classic purple in the Clematis world.


Description:
'Jackmanii' is perhaps the most beloved of all Clematis. It is a classic cultivar first hybridized in 1862 and is still one of the best. It has deep royal purple 4-6 inch wide flowers in profusion normally with four petals but sometimes with five to six. Try growing it into an old rhododendron or through a climbing rose.
