Description:
Erythronium revolutum has beautiful mottled foliage topped with light to mid pink, lily-like flowers in spring. Very special. Plant in a woodland setting or shade border with moisture retentive, fertile soil. Erythroniums will go dormant before summer so plant them near late-emerging perennials like hostas and toadlilies. Common on Vancouver Island where colonies can bloom in the thousands but rare elsewhere in BC, its range extends southward to California. Pollinated by native bumblebees, butterflies, moths, and hummingbirds.
