Dryopteris x complexa, the robust male fern, is a huge fern that can reach five feet high and wide! It is also super hardy down to zone 2. It is a fertile hybrid of D. affinis and D. filix-mas with lovely and bold texture from its light green, evergreen fronds with golden scales. Quite drought tolerant once established. Handsome and easy to grow. Deer resistant.
