Sisyrinchium nashii 'Suwannee' is a blue-eyed grass with small iris-like foliage and cheerful starry sky blue flowers.
Description:
Sisyrinchium nashii 'Suwannee' is an improved selection of this species of blue-eyed grass. It has large flowers, a tidier habit, and does not self-seed. It makes a great little evergreen ground cover for small applications producing masses of cheerful, star-shaped, sky blue flowers above eight inch high, grass- or iris-like foliage in mid to late spring. Reblooms sporadically. The green foliage holds it own and looks great through summer and fall. Prefers consistently moist, well-drained soil. Drought tolerant once established. A perfect little edger for pathways, at the front of the border, in rock gardens, and containers. Pollinator attractor. Deer resistant.
