Punica granatum 'Wonderful' is an improved variety with gorgeous orange-red blooms that become large, tasty pomegranates particularly valued for making juice. This is a multi-stemmed deciduous shrub that grows up to 10 feet but is easy to keep smaller by pruning. Pomegranates require lots of sun and heat to bloom and fruit. They are self fertile and leaf out in late spring.
