Description:
Acer palmatum 'Ukigomo' is the most spectacular variegated cultivar often referred to as the floating cloud Japanese maple. It is a treasured upright deciduous tree with new foliage emerging light pink aging to white and green though, viewed from a distance, it looks mostly white. An ethereal focal point and conversation piece for the shadier garden. 10' tall x 8' wide in 10 years. Japanese maples change through the seasons generally offering different colours and foliage patterns through spring, summer, and fall.
