Clematis 'Chevalier' has stunning violet-blue flowers with a reddish central band. The flowers can be single, semi-double or double. All forms can bloom on a single plant at the same time. A member of the Patio and Garden Series, it will reach 5-6 feet tall perfect for larger pots, patios, and small spaces including as a ground cover. Tolerant of part shade. Pruning group C however pruning just one third of the stem tips off will ensure more semi-double and double flowers. Raymond Evison is the world's most famous Clematis breeder producing superior and distinctive cultivars with long bloom periods, excellent disease resistance, and bold colours. Use them on trellises and pergolas, grow them into shrubs, or use them as ground covers.
