Disocactus (syn. Epiphyllum) phyllanthoides, also known as nopalxochitl or German express, is an epiphytic cactus from Mexico that grows on trees in cloud forests. It has flattened, succulent leaves that bear multitudes of 3-4 inch wide rose pink flowers with pale pink centres. Grow as a houseplant in the cold months and as an outdoor patio plant in the summer in bright indirect light or part shade/part sun. Easy to grow and bloom.
