Description:
Coreopsis tripteris is a tall, vertical tickseed that towers over other members of the genus at almost six feet with linear green to blue green leaves and masses of classic bright yellow coneflowers with brown centres from mid summer to early fall. Combine with fall asters and Japanese anemone. A great late season eastern North American native for bees. It is rhizomatous with clumps increasing in size each year though plants are not invasive.
