Description:
'Frosch's Alaskan Beauty' is a special selected clone of Cypripedium x alaskanum, a naturally occurring hybrid of C. yatabeanum and C. guttatum from Alaska. This clone has shown good colouration and particular vigour, hardiness, and longevity over many years. Though all plants are identical, the spotting can vary from year to year on each plant. Plants can produce two flowers per stem which grow from a creeping rhizome that spreads like a ground cover. Grows to 20-30 cm (8-12 in.) high. Blooms in May.
