Clematis fasciculiflora is a rare species from China with wonderful burgundy-infused new growth and dramatically silver centred leaves. The small, fragrant, creamy, bell-shaped flowers emerge in late winter and early spring, usually in February and March in coastal BC. Plant in a protected situation. To increase hardiness, bury the woody stem 6 inches deep when planting. Tolerant of part shade. Pruning group A.
