Prunus persica ‘Redhaven’ is a semi-dwarf peach with sweet and juicy fruit.
Description:
Prunus persica ‘Redhaven' is a very popular peach that is self-fertile, vigorous and fast growing. Fragrant pink blossoms emerge in spring followed by a mid to late summer crop of medium-sized, freestone fruits with dark red skin and splashes of yellow. The flesh is yellow, firm, fine-grained, sweet and juicy. Ripens two weeks later than 'Early Redhaven'. Use for eating fresh, baking, canning and freezing. The tree is grafted onto a semi-dwarf root stock creating a medium sized, spreading tree. Green foliage turns deep yellow for a great fall display. In cool summer regions like coastal BC, plant in hot sunny spots with excellent air circulation that will approximate, as closely as possible, the optimum conditions of the Okanagan.
