Penstemon xylus 'Tushar Blue' is an evergreen ground hugging perennial with lavender-blue tubular flowers.


Description:
Penstemon xylus 'Tushar Blue' is a great little evergreen ground cover that gets its name from the Tushar mountains in Utah. A wonderful alpine plant just under 6 inches high with a rounded spreading habit of 15 to 18 inches wide. Blooming in late spring to early summer are tiny violet tubular flowers. Foliage is blue-green, tight and mat forming. Enjoys well-drained soil. Does not like to be over-watered. Grow in the rock garden, in front of the border or as an effective water-wise ground cover. Very popular with pollinators.
