Cornus kousa var. chinensis

('productnameshort')

Cornus kousa var. chinensis, the Chinese dogwood, has creamy white spring flowers and spectacular fall foliage.

Description:
Cornus kousa var. chinensis is known as the Chinese dogwood. It grows as a vased-shaped large shrub or small tree with four seasons of interest. Spring brings hundreds of creamy, star-like flowers. Summer sees blossoms give way to deep pink, strawberry-like edible fruit which persist into fall. Fall sees green foliage taking on spectacular autumn colours of red, purple, and scarlet. Winter's interest is that of exfoliating bark. Use as a specimen near patios, and in lawns and borders. The flowers attract butterflies. The fruit attracts birds. For the 2024 Rare Flowering Tree Pre-Order plants will be in 15cm pots and about 2 feet tall.
