Description:
Primula vulgaris Guinevere' (aka 'Garryard Guinevere') is an old named variety thought to have originated in Ireland. It is quite beautiful with rich burgundy brown leaves topped with masses of pale pink flowers with yellow eyes. The shimmery foliage and flowers make for an amazing contrast. Enjoys moist but well drained soil in a woodland setting, at the front of the border, and in a pot. An early source of nectar for the pollinators. Photo credit: Great Plant Picks.
