Description:
Albuca bracteata (syn. Ornithogalum caudatum) is known as pregnant or sea onion. It is a long-lived, bulbous plant with a large, rounded bulb that sits atop the ground and long, broad, bright green semi-succulent leaves, all of which resemble onions. The snake-like flowering stem can be three feet long covered in white and green star-like flowers. It makes baby bulbs at its base forming attractive colonies over time. Photo: Wikipedia.
